Chemical Inventory and Safety Data Sheet Management

If you're required under OSHA's Hazard Communication (HazCom) standard to have a written HazCom program, part of that requirement included creating and updated a chemical inventory. The inventory is a list of all hazardous chemicals present in the workplace, including any that are stored or not in use.

A hazardous chemical is defined by OSHA as "any chemical which is classified as a physical or health hazard, a simple asphyxiant, combustible dust, pyrophoric gas, or hazard not otherwise classified." The terms "health hazard" and "physical hazard" are defined in the OSHA standard 1910.1200.

Also required by the standard, a current Safety Data Sheet for each hazardous chemical must be kept on file and accessible to all employees to read.

Chemical Inventory

WenCo Safety Solutions LLC can review all of your hazardous chemicals on your site and create an inventory list that includes all the required information. We will also develop a plan to update the inventory when new chemicals are added to your site.

Safety Data Sheets

During the chemical inventory process we will verify that you have a current SDS for each hazardous chemical. Copies of each SDS will be maintained in your files on our client portal and binders created for ease of use and accessibility for your employees.
